What is a Discovery Call?

A free 20-minute phone call where we get to know each other. You can share your health and wellbeing goals, tell me what kind of support you are looking for, and ask any questions. I’ll listen and suggest how I can best support you — helping us both decide if we’re the right fit.

Hello, I am Nitu Pasricha, your family nutritionist.

I am an experienced Nutrition and Lifestyle Consultant with an MSc in Global Public Health Nutrition (Merit) from the University of Westminster, London. I am registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN), ensuring I stay current with the latest nutritional science while maintaining high ethical and professional standards. In 2018, I was honoured with the ‘Inspire Award’ by GP Care Group, Tower Hamlets for my compassionate and innovative approach to community health.

With over a decade of experience in community public health, I have developed and delivered health and wellbeing programmes including the Healthy Child Programme, Healthy Weight Management Programme, and NHS National Diabetes Prevention Programme. I specialise in making nutrition guidance accessible and culturally relevant, helping diverse communities overcome language and cultural barriers to better health.

Working closely with multigenerational families has given me a deeper understanding of the real barriers people face around healthy living — from cost and cultural perceptions to different needs across life stages. This has shaped my whole-family, whole-person approach, supporting long-term wellbeing through nutrition, hydration, sleep, physical activity, and emotional wellbeing — in a compassionate, inclusive, and non-judgmental way.

My Approach

Every person is different — so no two plans are the same. I take the time to understand your unique circumstances, goals, and challenges before creating a personalised plan that fits your current lifestyle and feels achievable from day one.

I do not offer quick fixes, fad diets, or restrictive plans. Using evidence-based nutrition science and motivational behaviour change techniques, I help you make small, meaningful changes that lead to lasting results — at a pace that works for you.

Throughout our work together, I provide practical guidance, ongoing encouragement, and the tools you need to make informed, confident choices about your health and wellbeing.

“Nitu was able to recognise that the issues I was having since last year were deeper than just with eating and nutrition and it was through the awareness she taught me that I was able to have the confidence and courage to seek professional help. I loved the way she was able to quickly tailor recipes/some meal suggestions to my specific dietary requirements. She introduced me to Kefir and I absolutely love the yogurts now. A massive thank you to Nitu".

“I recently took my parents to see Nitu, and we were all really impressed with how knowledgeable and caring she is. She's an empath and a truly dedicated holistic health practitioner who genuinely wants the best for you. What we loved most was how easy it was to follow her suggestions-she made the lifestyle changes feel simple and doable, without any pressure or guilt. It was such a relief to feel supported and understood especially for my parents As a family, we're really grateful for her guidance and are already looking forward to our next session! Thank you so much".

We’ll also explore a holistic view of your options — from HRT to complementary therapies and other alternatives — empowering you to make informed choices for your long-term health and wellbeing.

"I am extremely satisfied with the session and found the information shared (especially holistic approach to menopause care) and HRT was extremely useful. It inspired me to make nutritional changes with more focus on phytoestrogen-based foods and check my bone density. Overall, everything tied in well and was delivered in the way easier to understand."

"A great personalised menopause consultation, just a lovely place to talk with someone who I felt really understood how I was feeling, was empathetic and able to offer practical solutions that felt manageable and not overwhelming. Far better than my recent conversation with the NHS. The Menopause Resource Pack is very useful to have all key info at one place."

“I really enjoyed the Mindful Eating session. It was conducted in a friendly and positive manner, which made it easy to engage and feel comfortable. We were encouraged to share our thoughts openly and without judgement, creating a safe and supportive environment. The session helped me understand the reasons behind my current relationship with food and offered helpful hints and tips on how to begin changing those habits. The takeaway leaflet is a great resource and serves as a useful reminder of the key points we discussed. I left the session feeling more informed about how to eat mindfully, and I'm now motivated to apply what I've learnt and monitor my progress. It was truly valuable and eye-opening experience.

Family & Early Years Nutrition

Healthy eating habits established in early life can help prevent disease later on. Taking a whole-family approach promotes healthier behaviours across generations and can break the intergenerational cycle of diet-related health conditions.

As an Infant and Young Child Feeding Specialist and experienced Early Years Practitioner, I offer personalised, evidence-based support for families during the early stages of life — including guidance on breastfeeding, bottle feeding, introducing solids, and early childhood nutrition.

I work closely with families to provide practical, realistic strategies that fit into everyday routines — adapting to your child’s age and stage, feeding patterns, nutritional needs, and preferences.

My aim is to help you feel informed, confident, and empowered in navigating feeding challenges with evidence-based guidance, practical tools, and trusted resources.

“This 13-session diabetes prevention programme I attended was led by Nitu and it was really a worthwhile experience. Her understanding of nutrition and lifestyle changes for diabetes prevention was exceptional and she was able to break down complex ideas into simple concepts. I learnt a lot of relevant topics including healthy eating and sleep patterns, portion sizes, habits and mindsets and the importance of movement including physical activity. Nitu provided useful information and gave useful ideas to apply the information to daily life. Her positive attitude and engaging personality kept everyone engaged and motivated to stay on track during the course. She is particularly great in imparting her knowledge of perimenopause and menopause. Nitu is certainly dedicated to this profession and truly cares about her clients."

“Expleo recently invited Nitu Pasricha, Holistic Health Nutrition, to deliver a menopause awareness session for our women@expleo community. The session was engaging, informative, and evidence-based, offering practical, holistic strategies to support menopause wellbeing. Nitu’s approachable and personable nature created a comfortable environment, making topics clear and relatable. We received excellent feedback from colleagues across the wider teams, who appreciated the clarity, relevance, and supportive delivery throughout. The session was inclusive and beneficial for all demographics, offering guidance on how to support others experiencing menopause and providing actionable insights into available options. We would highly recommend this session to any organisation looking to strengthen staff wellbeing and to raise awareness on such an important topic."

FAQs

The Association for Nutrition (AfN) is an independent regulator for Registered Nutritionists, working to protect and benefit the public. They maintain the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN), a register of qualified nutrition professionals who meet high standards of evidence-based practice. This register is recognized by Public Health England and the NHS.

AfN Registered Nutritionists hold a regulated title, receive supervision, follow an evidence-based approach, commit to continuous professional development and follow a strict Code of Ethics. Registered Associate Nutritionists (ANutrs) are individuals with a minimum of honours-degree level knowledge and understanding of nutrition science. They are qualified and competent to provide evidence-based information.

For more information, visit Association for Nutrition or search the AfN register.

Registered Nutritionists provide evidence-based nutrition advice to individuals, groups, or populations, as well as animals and their carers. They work in sectors like charities, academia, industry, policy, healthcare, or as freelancers. Nutritionists can assist individuals with medical conditions as long as their advice doesn’t involve treating the condition unless collaborating with the healthcare provider. They can also support acutely ill patients within a multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a regulated health professional, such as a doctor or dietitian.

Registered Dietitians require a qualification in Dietetics recognized by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), available as an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. The HCPC regulates dietitians, and the British Dietetic Association serves as their professional body and trade union.
